KSP searches for armed robber

HORSE CAVE — Kentucky State Police are still searching for a man wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred Monday in Horse Cave.

The robbery occurred around 5:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Aunt Bee’s Restaurant.

The suspect stopped off at an area gas station and asked for directions for Bowling Green. He then robbed a woman in the parking lot using a semi-automatic handgun and took her purse, the state police said.

The suspect assaulted the woman during the robbery and she sustained an injury to her hand. The woman was transported to Caverna Memorial Hospital where she was treated and released.

The suspect is a black man with a goatee wearing a blue ball cap with possibly Chicago Cubs or Chicago Bears logo on it. He was also wearing a black sweatshirt and blue jeans.

The man left the scene in a two-toned black and gray Dodge crew cab truck. He is considered armed and dangerous, the state police said.
