MUNFORDVILLE — ACTION: Council members voted to purchase four police cruisers at a cost of $105,650 over a period of several years with one being a 2008 demo model and the remaining three being 2009 models; approved the installation of a memorial at the overlook at Thelma Stovall Park with the family of Paul Wilson donating the memorial in his memory; adopted a resolution to apply for a Safe Routes to Schools grant through the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet for the construction of sidewalks near Munfordville School; and adopted a resolution to apply for a Transportation Enhancement Grant through the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet for streetscapes near the Hart County Courthouse.
PRESENTATIONS: Mayor John Johnson presented outgoing council member Glenn Mayle a plaque of appreciation and welcomed new council member JoAnne Pedigo, who will take office in January.
REPORTS: Council members heard police, fire and K-9 reports, as well as a report on the waterline project, which is now complete.
