IN MINUTES: Park City Commision

PARK CITY — ACTION: Commissioners approved minutes of their December meeting; set the meeting date for the Bell’s Tavern Festival Committee for Dec. 9 at 6:30 p.m.; set the date for the swearing in of new commissioners for Dec. 27 at 2 p.m. at city hall; allotted $1,000 from the General Fund for the purchase of Christmas decorations, including a tree that will be placed on the front porch of the Mentz Hotel; set the date for the Park City Volunteer Fire Department Appreciation Dinner for Dec. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at Billy and Felicia Barbour’s Family Restaurant; and initiated an intent to annex 56 acres of land that fronts Indian Mill Road and Bardstown Road.

REPORTS: Commissioners heard the following reports: police, fire, planning and zoning, Caveland Environmental Authority and Bell’s Tavern Committee. They also heard a report regarding the transformation of the Mentz Hotel into a welcome center.

ANNOUNCEMENTS: An announcement was made that the city’s annual Christmas parade is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, and that the Ride with Santa has been set for 2 p.m. on Dec. 24 at the Park City Volunteer Fire Department’s fire station. Mayor David Lyons also announced the first concept drawings for new city limit signs are ready for the commission to review.
