HORSE CAVE — ACTION: The city council accepted a $136,911.80 bid from Commercial Maintenance and Construction of Glasgow to repair and replace curbs and sidewalks in various sections of town; approved on second reading an ordinance updating the city’s Code of Ordinances; set Dec. 18 at 6 p.m. as the date and time to administer the oath of office to the new city council members, who are: Vickie Rogers, Randall Curry, Sue Nunn, David Lindsey, JoAnne Smith and Jason England; agreed to include a financial report presented by Mayor Odell Martin as part of the meeting minutes.
PRESENTATION: A petition featuring 85 signatures from a group opposed to the closing of the railroad crossing on Bluegrass Avenue in the industrial section of the city was accepted by the city council.
