CUB RUN — A Cub Run man was arrested Wednesday afternoon at the Holiday Motel in Cave City.
According to a Cave City Police release, Mark A. Bruton, 33, of Cub Run, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, third degree; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
After police responded to a tip of drug activity in room 119 at the motel, they conducted a search of the room and found the contraband.
The charges were enhanced because Bruton was found to be in possession of an A.K. 47 assault rifle with a 100-round magazine and a Glock 9mm semi-automatic pistol.
Major Mike Gibbons made the arrest and was assisted by chief Billy Minton, Kentucky State Police Trooper Ronnie Reynolds and Fish and Wildlife Officer Jeff Jewell.
