GLASGOW — ANNOUNCEMENTS: The Barren County Sheriff’s Office will be closed Dec. 24 and 25. The county judge-executive’s office will be closed Dec. 24, 25 and 26.
REPORTS: The court recognized Pam Hodges Browning for her work as Barren County Clerk. Rodney Ballard from the Kentucky Department of Corrections addressed the court regarding the Barren County Correction Center. County Attorney Jeff Sharp also reported on the recent planned cuts from the state.
ACTIONS: The court approved the purchase of one 10-foot bushog and to keep the 8-foot bushog as a spare, payment of claims as submitted, monthly financial statement for November, official settlements for November from the county attorney, county clerk and sheriff’s department, all subject to audit. The court also acknowledged the sheriff’s official receipt for property tax bills for 2008 including gas property, oil property and limestone, sand and gravel property and approved Joanne London as Barren County Clerk, effective Jan. 1, 2009.
