Man injured in wreck

GLASGOW — A Barren County man escaped an overturned vehicle with minor injuries Saturday evening.

Jeffrey Compton, 44, was driving south on Park City-Glasgow Road when his 1996 Saturn hit a slick spot in a curve. He lost control of his vehicle, which caused it to travel off the roadway and overturn in a culvert.

According to the Barren County Sheriff’s Department, Compton was transported by private means for treatment of minor injuries to an area hospital.

He was wearing his seat belt at the time of the wreck, according to the sheriff’s department.

Deputy Adam Minor investigated and was assisted at the scene by South Barren VFD.
