GLASGOW — Two Barren County residents were arrested Monday afternoon after they fled when the Barren-Edmonson County Drug Task Force attempted to serve warrants on them.
According to a Drug Task Force release, detectives made contact with Michael Whitlow, 33, and Star Whitlow, 35, on West Main Street.
Upon approaching the subjects, officers advised Michael Whitlow of a warrant for his arrest.
At that time, he and Star Whitlow fled the scene in separate vehicles at a high rate of speed.
Michael Whitlow eventually left his vehicle and proceeded to run on foot. He was caught and placed under arrest.
Detectives found several burglary tools inside Whitlow’s vehicle.
He was charged with the initial warrant arrest for receiving stolen property (firearm) and additionally charged with reckless driving; escape, third degree; two counts of wanton endangerment on a police officer, second degree; fleeing or evading in a motor vehicle, first degree; fleeing or evading on foot, first degree; resisting arrest and possession of burglary tools.
Star Whitlow was apprehended later at Cleveland Manor Apartments, Apartment B12 and placed under arrest.
She was charged with receiving stolen property (firearm).
Both were lodged in the Barren County Correctional Center.
