GLASGOW — A rollover on the Louie B. Nunn Parkway injured one man Wednesday around 5:20 p.m., according to a release from the Barren County Sheriff’s Department.
Jerry G. Jones, 62, of Barren County, was operating a 2005 Chevy Malibu Maxx eastbound on the parkway when he attempted to dodge an object in the roadway. He overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle.
The vehicle then traveled through the median, overturning into the westbound lane before coming to rest on the roof.
Jones was able to extract himself from the vehicle and was transported by Barren-Metcalfe EMS to T.J. Samson Community Hospital for treatment of injuries, where he was later released.
Jones was wearing his seatbelt and no other vehicles were involved.
Deputy Adam Minor investigated and was assisted at the scene by Park City and East Barren Volunteer Fire Departments, Barren-Metcalfe EMS and Medical Center EMS.
