4:32 p.m. Afternoon Update: Metcalfe teen dies from injuries sustained in wreck

EDMONTON —  

 

A one-vehicle wreck that occurred around 3:30 p.m. Monday has claimed the life of a Metcalfe County teenager.

The wreck occurred on Ky. 80 when Justin Moss, 17, of Edmonton, lost control of the 2004 Ford Ranger he was driving causing the truck to roll over. A passenger in the pickup, Chelsea Anders, also 17, of Edmonton, was ejected. She was not searing a seat belt, stated a Metcalfe County Sheriff's Office report.

Anders was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville where she later died, according to the sheriff's report.

Moss was not injured in the wreck.

Also responding to the wreck scene were the Barren-Metcalfe Emergency Medical Service and the Edmonton Fire and Rescue Squad.
