COLUMBIA — Trooper Jason Warinner is investigating a collision that occurred Monday, October 29th at approximately 9 p.m. CST on Ky. 61, four miles north of Columbia. Heather Vanarsdale, 18, of Columbia, was traveling south on Ky. 61 in a 2010 Toyota when she lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle crossed the northbound lane and left the roadway, striking a tree. Vanarsdale was transported to Westlake Hospital and then flown to the University of Louisville Hospital where she was admitted. She was not wearing a seatbelt. Warinner was assisted at the scene by the Adair County Sheriff's Department.
