'Duck Dynasty' rules!

TV show's stars will visit Glasgow

GLASGOW — For fans of the reality television show “Duck Dynasty,” Aug. 17 is going to be a big day in Barren County.

Phil and Marsha Kay “Miss Kay” Robertson, founders of the Duck Commander Co. and stars of “Duck Dynasty,” will be doing a speaking engagement and meet-and-greet event at Barren County High School on Aug. 17 as a fundraiser for the Barren County Family YMCA.

Terry Bunnell, vice president and treasurer of the YMCA, made the announcement dressed head-to-toe in camouflage duck-hunting gear Monday morning at a press conference at the YMCA.

“We are tremendously excited about Phil and Miss Kay coming to Glasgow,” Bunnell said.

“Duck Dynasty,” set in Louisiana, follows the story of a family-run duck call company, started by Phil Robertson in the early 1970s, which has grown into a multi-million dollar success. The show’s popularity has continued to grow throughout its two seasons.
