ELIZABETHTOWN —
Interstate 65 southbound remains closed at mile-marker 94 in Hardin County. Southbound traffic is being detoured off of I65 at KY 313 (Exit 102) and then over to US 31W and rejoins I65 on the south side of Elizabethtown at Exit 91, according to officials with the the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet in Elizabethtown.
The current queue is being routed over the Exit 94 on/off ramps to bypass the crash, which is almost under the US 62 bridge over I65. US 62 near the interstate overpass is very congested. As a result of the detour, traffic through Elizabethtown may also be very heavy along US 31W (Dixie Highway) through the afternoon commute, state highway department officials said
The interstate closure is expected to last 2 plus hours.
