A Smiths Grove woman was arrested on three felony charges after children were found in her car during a suspected methamphetamine stop.
A Glasgow Police Department officer stopped Cynthea L. Harvey, 42, 456 Young Road. According to a police report, Harvey was obviously under the influence of meth, but wasn’t given field tests for her safety. Three children, ages 3, 12 and 14 were found in the car. Harvey’s license was also reported as suspended, at which time she began yelling profanity. She was taken to T.J. Samson Community Hospital for blood tests and then taken to the Barren County Correction Center.
She is charged with three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, along with misdemeanor charges of second-degree disorderly conduct, operating on a suspended operator’s license and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs. She is being held at the jail on $5,000 cash bond.
Drug find leads to multiple charges
GPD officers also arrested Joe Moore, 32, of 103C Olivia Dr. in Glasgow, after a complaint of possible drug activity. When officers arrived at his house, they found marijuana stems next to Moore and three juveniles were also found using marijuana in the residence. Upon search, marijuana, rolling papers and marijuana roaches were found in the bedroom. Two hemostats were also found with suspected marijuana residue. Moore claimed possession of all drugs and paraphernalia.
He is being held at the Barren County jail on $5,000 bond, charged with felony second-degree unlawful transaction with minors and misdemeanors of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia first offense.
