GLASGOW — Aug. 14

Deputy Clark arrested Brittany J. Shugart on a Barren County warrant for harassing communications.

Deputy Wilson responded to a two-vehicle, non-injury wreck on Poplar School Road.

Aug. 15

Deputy Clark arrested Kelly R. Ash on a Barren County warrant for fourth-degree assault.

Deputy Clark arrested Leroy Collis and transported him to Hart County Jail on a Hart County warrant for theft by deception over $300.

Deputy Minor investigated a two-vehicle, injury wreck on Scottsville Road.

Deputy Branham transported Kelly W. Franklin from Ohio County Jail to Barren County jail.

Deputy Branham transported Junior E. Brooks from Logan County Jail to Barren County jail.

Aug. 16

Deputy Minor arrested Billy J. Good and charged him with two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, (police); second-degree disorderly conduct, and carrying a concealed deadly weapon.

Aug. 17

Deputy Wilson arrested Steven M. Bailey on a Barren County warrant for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, third offense; driving DUI suspended license, second offense, and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle prohibited.

Deputy Minor responded to a single-vehicle, non-injury wreck on Burkesville Road.

Deputy McCown responded to a two-vehicle, non-injury wreck on Scottsville Road.

Deputy Runyon responded to a single-vehicle, non-injury wreck on New Salem Road.

Deputy Branham transported Kelly W. Franklin from Barren County jail to Ohio County Jail.

Deputy Branham transported Tyson M. Dewalt from Warren County Jail to Barren Circuit Court then returned Dewalt to Warren County Jail.

Aug. 18

Deputy McCown investigated a single-vehicle, injury wreck on Roseville Road.

Deputy Thomas responded to a single-vehicle, non-injury wreck on Lick Branch Road.

Deputy Branham transported Brandon J. Brock from Barren County jail to Hardin County Jail.

Aug. 19

Deputy Clark served a Barren County warrant on Joseph A. Meadows for probable cause-probation violation.

Deputy Branham transported Jason L. Gravens from Barren County jail to Grayson County Jail.

Deputy Clark arrested Kimberly N. Skaggs on a Warren County warrant for contempt of court.

Aug. 20

Deputy Wilson investigated a two-vehicle, injury wreck on North Jackson Highway.

Deputy McCown investigated a single-vehicle, injury wreck on the Louie B. Nunn Parkway.

Deputy Wilson responded to a single-vehicle, non-injury wreck on Mayfield Mill Road.

Deputy Kinslow responded to a single-vehicle, non-injury wreck on Scottsville Road.

Deputy Clark arrested Juanita A. McMurray on a Barren County warrant for contempt of court.

Deputy Clark served a McCracken County warrant on William J. Turnbull for contempt of court.

  • County struggles to provide EPA report

    Barren County Road Department Head Johnny Kinslow called his bi-monthly report to the fiscal court his “gloom and doom” report Tuesday night. After five years of letters and discussions, the Environmental Protection Agency has informed Kinslow that he must produce a closure report for underground fuel tanks that were removed 13 years ago, or face unnamed consequences.
