GLASGOW — The following court news was reported by the office of Karen Davis, commonwealth’s attorney for Barren and Metcalfe counties.

Barren Circuit Court:

Guilty Pleas:

Yulanda Lovelle Bradshaw, 42, of Glasgow, pleaded guilty in Barren Circuit Court on Monday to theft by unlawful taking over $300. The commonwealth recommended a three year suspended sentence and payment of full restitution. Formal sentencing is set for Oct. 26.

William E. Briggs, 52, of Cave City, pleaded guilty in Barren Circuit Court on Monday to first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia second offense, prescription controlled substance not in original container and second-degree persistent felony offender. The commonwealth recommended a six year sentence. Formal sentencing is set for Nov. 2.

Tim Copas, 46, of Tennessee, pleaded guilty in Barren Circuit Court on Friday in two separate cases, to two counts theft by deception over $300. The commonwealth recommended a two year sentence and full payment of restitution in each case. Formal sentencing by the court is set for Sept. 14.

Jamie Fancher, 32, of Knob Lick, pleaded guilty in Barren Circuit Court on Friday to third-degree unlawful transaction with a minor. The commonwealth recommended a 12 month sentence. The court went forward with sentencing and Fancher received 12 months sentence and a request for probation was granted.

Sentencings:

Charles Jason Brown, 29, of Glasgow, was formally sentenced in Barren Circuit Court on Monday based on an earlier guilty plea to two counts first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. The court, following the plea agreement, sentenced the defendant to three years and then granted the request for probation.
