3:51 AFTERNOON UPDATE: Man injured in single-vehicle wreck

GLASGOW — A local man was flown to University of Louisville Medical Center this afternoon after a single-vehicle accident , a Barren County sheriff’s deputy said.

Daniel Nash, 56, of Hiseville-Center Road, was traveling north on Roseville Road in a 2002 Mini Cooper, and the vehicle went off the right side of the road into an embankment and overturned at approximately 12:45 p.m., Deputy Kevin Wilson said.

Nash was wearing his seatbelt; he was mechanically extracted from the car and had rib injuries and possible back and pelvis injuries, Wilson said.

In addition to Wilson and two others from the Barren County Sheriff’s Office, Barren-Metcalfe Emergency Medical Service, Austin-Tracy Volunteer Fire Department and a helicopter unit responded to the scene, he said.
