Arrests made in meth lab bust in Canmer

CANMER — Kentucky State Police Troopers arrested three Canmer men on Sept. 16 in connection to a methamphetamine lab discovered at a Hart County residence.

Mark Jaggers, 45, Richard Jaggers, 28, and Larry Jaggers, 59, were taken into custody after troopers discovered materials necessary for the production of methamphetamine and a booby trapped marijuana plant behind the home, according to a KSP report. Troopers seized more than 100 pieces of evidence from the scene, according to a state police report.

Police charged Mark Jaggers with manufacturing meth, first offense; possession of anhydrous ammonia in an unapproved container with the intent to manufacture meth, first offense; possession of meth precursors, first offense; possession of a booby trap device; first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense; possession of drug paraphernalia, first offense, tampering with physical evidence, possession of marijuana, trafficking in marijuana less than eight ounces, first offense; and two counts of cultivating marijuana, less than 5 plants. All charges are enhanced by Jaggers’ possession of a handgun.

Mark and Richard Jaggers were lodged in the Hart County Jail, and Larry Jaggers has been cited to court. Troopers Daniel White, Lonnie Hodges and Jonathan McChesney are investigating the case.
