The Barren-Edmonson County Drug Task Force served warrants on three individuals Monday in separate incidents. Police charged Steven Parker, 31, 7949 Old Munfordville Road, Cave City, with two counts of trafficking in controlled substance after Deputy J.D. Walden of the Barren County Sheriff’s Office stopped his vehicle along U.S. 31E northbound, according to a DTF report. Parker was lodged in the Barren County Correction Center on $8,500 bond.
The DTF also arrested two Smiths Grove residents Monday after an investigation that led to warrants being obtained. Officers discovered a large methamphetamine lab dump in April containing chemicals and materials used in the production of meth, according to a DTF report. They were each charged with two counts of manufacturing meth, knowingly possessing anhydrous ammonia with the intent to manufacture meth, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. Gregory Crumpton was also charged with second-degree persistent felony offender.
Each were lodged at the Barren County Correction Center on $19,000 bonds. Deputy Adam Minor of the Barren County Sheriff’s Office assisted the DTF in the arrest, according to the report.
