GLASGOW — The Glasgow Police Department arrested three Glasgow residents in separate drug-related incidents on Saturday. Officers charged Lavece Buchanan, 20, of 201 Newman St., and Billy J. Barbour, 22, of 315 Lakeview Blvd., with one count each of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and trafficking in controlled substance within 1,000 yards of a school, according to the Glasgow police report. Police responded to a complaint of possible drug activity on Saturday at Buchanan’s residence, and discovered Buchanan and Barbour handling marijuana inside the residence.
After a search, officers found a large bag and three small bags of marijuana, more than $800 cash and several marijuana roaches on their persons and in the bedroom where the suspects were located, according to the report. The residence is within 1,000 of a school.
Each was lodged at the Barren County Corrections Center on $1,500 bonds.
Man charged with drug possession at Walmart
Also on Saturday, officers arrested Jeremy N. Green, 34, 1530 Cleveland Ave., while his vehicle was parked in the fire lane at Walmart. Officers noticed that Green appeared very nervous, so they received consent to walk a K-9 unit around the vehicle, according to a Glasgow police report. The K-9 unit responded so officers received consent to search the inside of the vehicle, where officers discovered a needle and a bent spoon in the console.
Green had received a Warren County citation, also dated on Saturday, for possession of marijuana, according to the report. Glasgow police charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged at the Barren County Corrections Center on $1,500 bond.
