HARDYVILLE — Kentucky State Police troopers and Hart County Sheriff’s personnel responded to a domestic disturbance east of Horse Cave on Saturday. Upon arrival at the scene, 4325 Three Springs Highway, Hardyville, police discovered that Ethan Asbury, 20, had driven his truck into the residence while four people were inside, before getting into a physical altercation with his father, Rickey Asbury, 49, according to a KSP report.
When officers arrived, Ethan Asbury fled through a nearby field armed with a shotgun. Police apprehended him and charged him with first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, first-degree fleeing or evading police on foot, fourth-degree assault, domestic violence minor injury, no operator’s license and menacing.
He was lodged in the Hart County Jail on a $9,500 cash bond. Rickey and Linda Asbury, 49, were also arrested and charged with misdemeanors, according to the report.
KSP Trooper Charles Swiney said the investigation is ongoing by Trooper Daniel White.
There were no injuries resulting from the incident, according to Trooper Charles Swiney from Kentucky State Police in Bowling Green.

The Glasgow Fire Department responded to a report of a smoke smell in the area of 114 Harwood St. around 12:30 p.m. Friday. When firefighters arrived at the residence owned by Elfreda Lewis, they noticed that a tree had fallen across the building and power lines, and smoke was issuing from the building, according to a GFD report.
Upon entering the structure, firefighters found the electrical service wiring had shorted and was smoldering in several places throughout the building. They quickly extinguished the small fires and searched the rest of the residence, according to the report. The residence was unoccupied at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
The Glasgow Electric Plant Board and Barren-Metcalfe Emergency Medical Services assisted at the scene and crews were on the scene for around one and 30 minutes.
Firefighters responded to one southern Barren County home twice over the weekend. The Haywood and Austin Tracy fire departments responded to a report of a house fire at 210 Needmore Acres Road around 5:45 p.m. Friday.
Haywood Fire Chief Mike Hatcher said the owner of the home, Cory Poore, arrived home to discover smoke coming from the residence. Firefighters extinguished the fire and were on the scene for nearly one hour, he said. Nobody was home at the time and no injuries were reported.
The fire departments responded to the home again on Sunday just after noon. Hatcher said the cause of the fires is still under investigation and the extent of the damage was mostly smoke related.
