TOMPKINSVILLE — MEETING: Monroe Fiscal Court
DATE: Nov. 20, 2009
ACTION: Magistrates took the following action: Approved minutes of Oct. 15 regularly scheduled meeting, and special-called meeting on Oct. 29 and Nov. 3; approved on second reading an ordinance amending the county’s budget by $654,489.58; approved transfers; approved general fund, road, jail and LGEA fund claims; and approved road advisory committee projects.
DISCUSSION: Magistrates discussed the purchase of new voting machines.
PRESENTATIONS: Butch Pass with Harp Enterprises along with County Court Clerk Teresa Sheffield spoke to magistrates about the purchase of new voting machines. Kenneth Bartley with the Tompkinsville-Monroe County Economic Development Center addresses magistrates about the county’s contribution toward the upkeep and operation of the center.
ANNOUNCEMENTS: Judge-Executive Wilbur Graves made an announcement regarding Anderson Forest Products moving into the former Belden building, and that excavation work had begun on the Monroe County Judicial Center construction site.
