GLASGOW — The Christmas season is here and “Light Up Glasgow” will begin Friday with photos for children and pets with Santa at 3:30 p.m. in the courthouse gazebo on the square in downtown Glasgow.
Events will include festive music and refreshments. At 5 p.m., the lighting of the Christmas tree and the courthouse lights will occur.
All downtown businesses are encouraged to decorate windows and buildings for the upcoming Christmas season. The “Light Up Glasgow” committee asks that stores and shops around the public square that are going to be decorated for judging do so by Wednesday evening. Recognition will be given for the best decorations with judging beginning at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
There will be a special time for children with singing and a special time with Santa and goodies for all children. All children of all ages are invited to help kick off “Light Up Glasgow.”
