GLASGOW — The discovery of a drug lab Friday night led to the arrest of three people by Glasgow Police.
Christopher Cole Duncan, 33, and Tara Shea Garmon, 27, both of 193 Industrial Drive, Glasgow, and Michael Paul Turben, 36, of 640 South Gassaway Road, Glasgow, were all taken into custody after police executed a search warrant and found a lab for making methamphetamine in the garage of the residence on Industrial Drive.
Police had received a tip of a possible meth lab at the location and obtained the warrant to search, according to a Glasgow Police Department report.
When officers executed the warrant around 6:30 p.m. Friday, Duncan and Turben were found in the garage within 15 feet of a lab that included rock salt, ammonium nitrate, lithium batteries, coffee filters, Coleman fuel, Sudafed, pill dough, smoker bottles and various other ingredients. Duncan was also rolling a marijuana cigarette from a bag of marijuana at the time officers knocked on the door and he allegedly told police the marijuana and rolling papers were his, according to the report.
Garmon was also arrested as police arrived at the scene. She had just left the residence and was stopped by officers on the roadway in front of house and was taken back to the home during the search.
All three suspects were lodged in the Barren County Corrections Center. Duncan was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, first offense, a class B felony; possession of marijuana, a class A misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, delivery/manufacture, second or greater offense, a class D felony. A $10,000 cash bond was set.
Turben was charged with manufacturing meth, first offense, a class B felony. He was also held on a $10,000 cash bond.
Garmon was charged with manufacturing meth, second or greater offense, a class A felony, and was held on a $25,000 cash bond.
GPD Sgt. Jason Morgan was the arresting officer. Detectives Eddie Lindsey and Jimmy Phelps investigated.
