School board to discuss Goff’s contract

Staff report

GLASGOW — The Glasgow Independent Schools Board of Education has announced a special-called meeting for 9 a.m. Wednesday morning at the central office at 1108 Cleveland Ave.

The purpose of the meeting is “to discuss and possibly take action on the terms of the superintendent’s contract of employment,” according to the notification.

The agenda notes that “Superintendent Kathy E. Goff will address the board to discuss the terms of her contract of employment” and that the board may then take action on the terms of her contract of employment.

The board will also go into closed session “to conduct a discussion, which might lead to the appointment of an individual employee as authorized by KRS 61.810(1)(f),” and then appoint a district employee after coming out of closed session, according to the agenda.

Goff was out of the district office Tuesday and unavailable for comment.

Board member LaDonna Rogers could not be reached for comment before press time.

Other board members, Elaine Richardson and Jerry Ream, said they could not comment in advance on anything to be discussed at the special-called meeting.
