'Duck Dynasty' event tickets go on sale

GLASGOW — Starting Friday morning, March 15, tickets are on sale for those who want to see cast members from TV’s “Duck Dynasty” in Glasgow for a fundraiser for the local YMCA in August.

Phil and Marsha Kay “Miss Kay” Robertson, founders of the Duck Commander Co. and stars of the television show “Duck Dynasty,” will be doing a speaking engagement and meet-and-greet event at Barren County High School on Aug. 17 as a fundraiser for the Barren County Family YMCA’s swimming facilities.

The event was announced on Feb. 25, and the response has been enthusiastic and widespread, according to Bethany Matthews, a member of the Glasgow-Barren County Leadership class, which is helping to organize the fundraiser. They have had inquiries about tickets from places as far away as Missouri, Indiana and Tennessee, according to Matthews.
