Prime Chunkin’ Time in Edmonton

EDMONTON — Bill Lagermann, of Edmonton, left, prepares his machine to launch a pumpkin Saturday during the annual Punkin Chunkin’, which is part of the Pumpkin Festival in Edmonton. Helping him is his son, Steve, of Bowling Green. Lagermann fired a pumpkin 150 feet into a plastic swimming pool during the event on his second try at hitting the target. The pumpkin weighed 9 pounds. The event was at the Metcalfe   County Fairgrounds.
