9:12 MORNING UPDATE: Two Glasgow residents arrested following a death investigation

GLASGOW — Two Glasgow residents were arrested for tampering with physical evidence following a death investigation conducted by the Barren County Sheriff's Office.

Connie Jessie 41, and Aaron Smith 25, were both charged after stating that they had removed evidence from Smith’s residence following the death of 41-year-old Tina Stout, who was found dead at Smith’s residence on Feb. 15, according to a BCSO statement.

Jessie was arrested Thursday and was released Friday from the Barren County Detention Center on a $1,500 surety bond; Smith was arrested Sunday and released the same day on a $1,500 surety bond.

As of Monday morning, these were the only two people of interest in the investigation, Deputy Mike Houchens said. The investigation is ongoing, and more charges could be brought forth, according to the statement. Deputy Adam Bow is investigating officer.
