As part of wrapping up the Eastern Livestock case, Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway visited Glasgow on Tuesday afternoon to talk about the successful prosecution of Thomas Gibson, Steve McDonald, Grant Gibson and Darren Brangers for organized crime and theft by deception. The four men defrauded more than $840,000 from local farmers at the Edmonton livestock buying station in November of 2010, and on Tuesday the defendants entered guilty pleas that included jail time as well as full restitution to the farmers.
“I feel really good,” said Conway, who has prided himself over the last 18 months on his close involvement with the case.
