Glasgow man arrested for vehicle theft
The Kentucky State Police arrested a Glasgow man on felony charges Tuesday.
Police were attempting to locate Miller, charged for the theft of a 2004 Ford Escape and a Kawasaki three-wheeler, and located him on Flowers Road in Barren County, according to a report by the KSP in Bowling Green.
Miller is charged with theft by unlawful taking, first-degree fleeing or evading, two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, tampering with physical evidence, second-degree burglary, possession of marijuana, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and being a persistent felony offender.
Another individual, Jessica Craine, 31, of Horse Cave was arrested for first-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension.
Miller is being held at the Barren County Correction Center on $16,000 total bond.
Craine is being held on $1,500 bond.
KSP was assisted in the arrest by the Barren, Allen and Edmonson counties sheriff’s offices, the Barren-Edmonson County Drug Task Force and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, Region 2.
Two injured in crash
A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Grandview Avenue and S. L. Roger Wells Boulevard left two injured Tuesday.
Ruth A. Staruch, 34, of Glasgow, had her vehicle stopped at the intersection while traveling East on Grandview Avenue. Johnny Turner, 57, of Fountain Run, was traveling south on Roger Wells. Staruch said she thought the light had turned and began to enter the intersection, according to a Glasgow Police Department report.
As Staruch entered the intersection, the report says, she noticed that the light had not changed and she still had a red light. Turner’s vehicle struck hers near the front door. Both vehicles received severe damage.
Turner and a passenger, Lena Turner, 66, were transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital where they were treated and released.
Staruch and her passengers, Zoe Scott, 34, and two juveniles all refused treatment.
