GLASGOW —
A tree-vehicle crash on Interstate 65 Friday involving a tractor-trailer and two pickup trucks resulted in the injury of two people.
The wreck occurred in the northbound lane near the 30 mile marker when Randall Ballard, 48, of Louisville, who was driving a 2008 Ford pickup truck in the middle lane of the highway, took his eyes off the road while observing emergency equipment at a non-injury wreck Kentucky State Police working. Ballard did not notice the traffic in front of him had slowed at first, but when he did he braked to avoid hitting a 1993 Toyota pickup truck driven by Beganovic Kenan, 25, of St. Petersburg, Fla., according to a Kentucky State Police press release.
The actions of Ballard caused Travis Brown, 32, of Liberty, Ind., who was driving a 2007 Peterbilt tractor-trailer, to strike Kenan's truck, the press release stated.
Ballard and Kenan were treated and released from the Medical Center in Bowling Green.
Trooper Brett Coomes is investigating the wreck.
