GLASGOW —
This Saturday, Barren County extension agents will be teaching new ways of natural holiday decorating.
The “Natural Holiday Wreath” workshop will be at the Barren County Extension office from 10 a.m. to noon, and it will be led by Kristin Goodin, extension agent for horticulture, and Mindy McCulley, extension agent for family and consumer sciences.
“It should be a really good, fun, Saturday afternoon activity, especially for family and friends,” Goodin said.
The workshop will cost $10, and is limited to 25 participants, although Goodin said they could allow a few extras. The wreaths they will be making are 14-inch round wreaths. The extension office has offered the wreath-making workshop several times in the past, and Goodin said it has always been a hit.
“It has been very popular in the past,” Goodin said.
Goodin and McCulley will show workshop participants how to make a wreath using natural greenery, a wire wreath form and a wreath-making machine.
“It’s very easy and simple to do,” Goodin said. “It’s not complex.”
