MUNFORDVILLE —
A Munfordville man is in fair condition after a two-vehicle accident in Hart County Monday.
Joseph C. Rucker, 23, was traveling east on Ky. 88 in a 1995 GMCâtruck when the truck collided with a 1999 Volvo tractor-trailer driven by Timothy W. Richards, 33, of Columbia, in a curve near Boyds Knob Road, according to a release by the Kentucky State Police Post 3 in Bowling Green.
Rucker’s vehicle crossed over the center line and struck Richards’ vehicle on the left side of his empty trailer. After impact, Rucker’s vehicle continued east before exiting the left side of the roadway and traveling up an embankment where Rucker was ejected from the vehicle. Richards’ vehicle remained on the roadway after impact. He was not injured in the collision.
Rucker was transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital by Hart County Emergency Medical Service before being transported to University of Louisville Hospital.
Neither driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
