GLASGOW — Carole Jean Avina
CAVE CITY — Carole Jean Avina, 70, of Cave City, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
She was a Hart County native, a homemaker and a member of the Catholic faith.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Barbour; her husband, Lenard Avina; and by one sister, Sue Meadows.
Survivors include her children: Billy Prendergast of Atlanta, Ga., Mike Prender-gast of Florida, Kelleri Ghent of California, and Stacey Rudolph and her husband Jason of Chicago; nine grandchildren; her mother, Bessie Lile Barbour of Horse Cave; three sisters: Shirley Barbour of Horse Cave, Judy Stinson of Park City and Robin Norman of Munfordville; two brothers: David Barbour and his wife Debbie of Horse Cave, and Steve Barbour of Horse Cave; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 12, in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home, Horse Cave, with burial to follow in Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation at Winn Funeral Home is from 5 until 8 p.m. on Thursday and after 8 a.m. until funeral time on Friday.

Opal Pedigo Jennings
GLASGOW — Opal Pedigo Jennings, 94, of Glasgow, died Sunday, March 7, 2010, at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow.
She was a homemaker and a daughter of the late Fred and Maude Perkins Pedigo. She was a member of Mount Moriah Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by two daughters: Linda (Jim) Welch and Lola (Joe) Taylor, both of Glasgow; two grandchildren: Felicia Geraci and Jennifer Vaughn; two great-grandchildren: Kaitlynn Vaughn and Nicolas Geraci; two sisters: Bessie Bartley of Beaumont and Edith Duvall of Glasgow; and one brother: Eugene Pedigo of Summer Shade.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernice Jennings; one son: James Orville Jennings; four sisters and four brothers.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 9, at 1:30 p.m. at McMurtrey Funeral Home, Summer Shade, with burial to follow in Summer Shade Cemetery.
Visitation will begin Monday, March 8, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Summer Shade Volunteer Fire Department.
Linda Faye Mouldon
CAVE CITY — Linda Faye Mouldon, 58, Cave City, died Saturday, March 6, 2010, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital, Glasgow.
The Barren County native was the daughter of the late Denvil (Buster) and Estella Staples Dial. She was a sewing machine operator for Mammoth Cave Garment Company, a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Lee Mouldon, Cave City; her children, Sue (Mark) Betner, Custer, Thomas (Amy) Mouldon, Austin, Texas, Barb Fox, Hardin, Melissa Lindsey, Bonnieville; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild; sisters, Teresa Dial, her twin, Shirley (JR) Craine; special caretaker, Alma (Tootsie) Craine, all of Cave City, Martha Pedigo, Green County, Charlene (James) Guthrie, Darlene (Wendell) Ennis, Edmonton; a brother, Ronnie (Tresia) Dial, Edmonton; special friend, Julie Collins; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Mouldon; and a brother, Tony Dial.
Funeral services with Brother William Thomas Mouldon officiating will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, at the Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel, Cave City, with burial in Horse Cave Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be after 1 p.m. Monday.

EDMONTON — Thelma Rae Smith, 88, of Edmonton, died Sunday, March 7, 2010, at the Metcalfe Healthcare Center.
She was the daughter of the late Lewis and Ethel Bragg Martin and wife of the late James Smith.

He was the son of the late Joby John White and Nancy Muse White.
