Mary Gladys Cornelius

GLASGOW — Mary Gladys Cornelius, 89, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow.

She was born Nov. 22, 1919, in Grayson County, the daughter of the late George W. Williams and Viola Walters Williams. Mrs. Cornelius was an Avon representative for over 35 years and a member of South Green Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include two daughters: Patricia Meek (Robert) of Louisville and Beverly Brooks of Glasgow; three grandchildren: Amber Leeson (Bruce) of Glasgow and Archie and Scott Meek of Knoxville, Tenn.; three great-grandchildren: Samuel and Kinsey Leeson and Briana Meek; and one brother: Herman Williams of Grayson County.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Marvin Jackson and J.W. "Bill" Cornelius; and a son-in-law, Roger C. Brooks.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3 until 8 p.m. and Saturday morning until time for services.

Kathleen Gregory

CAVE CITY — Kathleen Gregory, 60, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at her residence as a result of a house fire.

She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margie Embry Wyatt.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel, Cave City, with burial in Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be after 10 a.m. Saturday.



James Clyde Page

EDMONTON — James Clyde Page, 62, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.

He was the son of the late Elbert and Emergene Phelps Page.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in Edmonton Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:30 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda Page of Edmonton; two sons: James Page of Edmonton and Teddy Page of Bowling Green; one grandchild, Trenaty Page of Tompkinsville; one brother, Lawrence Page of Edmonton; one sister, Joyce (Kenneth) Bryant of Edmonton; nephews and nieces: Joseph (Rose) Page, Todd Bryant, Eric (Whitney) Bryant, Sandy (Everett) Summers and Stevie Page. Two special friends, Gidget Parker and Maxine Garmon, also survive.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Lois Page.

Harold Pritchard

HISEVILLE — Harold Pritchard, 88, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.

The son of the late Mary Edna “Mamie” Hatcher and John Bernard Pritchard, he was a retired postmaster of Hiseville Post Office with 32 plus years service and a farmer. He was a member and deacon of Hiseville Baptist Church, where he was also a Sunday school teacher. He was a member of Hiseville Lions Club and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Zora Ross Pritchard; one sister, Virginia Pritchard Shepherd of Whitley City; two nieces, Linda Holmes Anderson of Winfield, Tenn., and Nancy Holmes Gilreath of Pine Knot; one nephew, John B. Holmes of Lexington; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Burial, with military honors provided by Glasgow Chapter 20 DAV, will be in Hiseville Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

EDMONTON — William Cabbert (Billy) Bell, 73, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at his home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens.



TOMPKINSVILLE — Johnny Ray Hamilton, 76, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009, in Tompkinsville. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at Yokley-Trible Funeral Home, Tompkinsville, with burial in Turner Cemetery.
