GLASGOW — Marina Joann Berry

MUNFORDVILLE – Marina Joann Berry, 61, of Munfordville, died Oct. 21, 2012, at The Medical Center in Bowling Green.

She was the daughter of the late Laymon Berry and the late Louise Avery Close. She is survived by a companion: Robert Dario, of Munfordville.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, and from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday at Brooks Funeral Home with Brother John Smith officiating.



Pauline Brown

TOMPKINSVILLE — Pauline Brown, 92, of Tompkinsville, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at Monroe County Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Pauline was the daughter of the late Mary Jane (Huff) and Millard Filmore Brown.

Funeral services will be at Yokley Trible Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 23, with Brother Darrick Proffitt officiating. Visitation is Oct. 22, from 4 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday 6 to 11 a.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home. Burial will be in Summer Shade Cemetery.



George Gorby

GLASGOW — George Arthur Gorby, 91, of Glasgow, died Sunday, October 21, 2012, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.

Born in Illinois, he was a son of the late Orrin and Blanche Jalageas Gorby. George retired after 26 years as an employee of Houchens Markets and had also owned and operated The Cobbler shoe repair shop. More recently he was an employee at Kmart and enjoyed playing the guitar. He was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include his sister, Alice Gorby, of Glasgow; nephews, James Lee Gorby (Shannon) of Leitchfield, and James Fowler (Deborah) of Florida; and a niece, Laura Jean McCoy (Danny) of Bowling Green.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Sylvester Gorby, Tommy Gorby and James Bennett.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church Disciples of Christ with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until time for the service. A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Evelyn Wright Houchens

GLASGOW – Evelyn Wright Houchens, 73, of Glasgow died Sunday, October 21, 2012, at her home.

She was born in Cumberland County the daughter of the late Otha Elvis Wright and Glenia Carey Wright. Evelyn was a homemaker and a former employee of Mallory and ACK. She was a member of South Fork Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Martha Morrison Newberry, of Glasgow; two sons, Barry Clifton Houchens and David Scott Houchens, both of Glasgow; eight grandchildren, Amanda, Jessica, Josh, Megan, Anna and Dillon Houchens, Monica Poynter and Carlos Morrison; several nieces and nephews; and her special friend and caregiver, Vicky Minor.   

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Euell C. Houchens; a sister, Ruth Richey; and brothers, Leon and Willie Price Wright.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

BOWLING GREEN — Terry W. Conley, 65, of Bowling Green, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at his residence. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation is in progress at the funeral home.



GLASGOW — Trina Marie Lawson, 36, of Glasgow, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at Western Kentucky University-Glasgow Campus. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Lawson chose cremation. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the National Marfan Foundation, 22 Manhasset Avenue,  Port Washington, NY 11050.
