GLASGOW — Maggie Estele Judd
CAVE CITY — Maggie Estele Judd, 96, of Cave City, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, from Hart County Healthcare, Horse Cave.
She was born on Aug. 17, 1916, in Adair County to the late Charlie Bragg and Lillie Mae Coffey Bragg. She was a member of Prices Creek Baptist Church and a retired housekeeper at Holiday Inn.
Survivors include three sons, Charles (Denise) Judd, of Louisville, and Sam Judd and Allen Judd, both of Cave City; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Judd, of Cave City; a daughter, Ruby Poynter, of Cave City; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Judd; a sister, Leavry Moss; three sons, Marshall, Eugene, Bobby; and two daughters, who died at birth.
Funeral services with Randy Scott officiating will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel with burial in Cave City Cemetery. Visitation is in progress at the funeral home.

HARDYVILLE — Donald McDonald, 91, of Hardyville, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.
He was a retired US Postal Service mail carrier and a member of Munfordville First United Methodist Church. He was one of the first board members for the Green River Valley Water District and continued to serve in that capacity for 50 years. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
He was the son of the late Forest Elmer McDonald and the late Thelma Bunnell McDonald.
He is survived by his wife: Nina R. McDonald; one son: William Rush McDonald (Beverly), of Lenexa, KS; two grandchildren: Todd McDonald, of Lenexa, KS, and Erin Whitmer (Jonathan), of Madison, WI; one great-grandchild: Annamarie Whitmer; one niece: Paula Lewis, of Lexington.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Sweeney.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at Brooks Funeral Home and from 9 to 11a.m. Friday, Oct. 26, at Munfordville First United Methodist Church. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the church with Pastor Rick Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Pearl Webb Cemetery, Canmer.
Memorial donations may be made to Munfordville United Methodist Church Building Fund.
Mary Jane Lawrence Pinyon
CORRYTON, Tenn. — Mary Jane Lawrence Pinyon, of Corryton, TN, passed away Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at her home.
She was a 1964 graduate of Park City High School in Park City. She is of the Baptist faith. She was baptized at Shiloh Baptist Church in 1974 in Smiths Grove.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey William and Jessie Dickerson Lawrence.
She is survived by her husband, Body Pinyon; a stepson, Bradley Pinyon and wife Jayne Vaughn of Sevierville, Tenn.; a stepdaughter, Michelle Wood and husband Kevin of Winter Garden, Fla.; step-grandson, Ryan Wood; two sisters, Marie Kinslow of Glasgow, and Patsy White (Joe) of Smiths Grove; a brother, Larry Lawrence of Smiths Grove; a nephew, Chris White of Smiths Grove; nieces, Renee Wagner (Jeff) of Glasgow, Tammy White (Phil Goodman) of Smiths Grove; and a great-nephew and great-niece.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 8 p.m.
Graveside services will be Friday, Oct. 26, at 1p.m. CST at Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery in Smiths Grove. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of the arrangements.
GLASGOW — Trina Marie Lawson, 36, of Glasgow, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at Western Kentucky University-Glasgow Campus. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Lawson chose cremation. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the National Marfan Foundation, 22 Manhasset Avenue, Port Washington, NY 11050.
ALVATON — John A. Matthews, 68, of Alvaton, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at his residence. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be after noon Thursday at the funeral home.
GLASGOW — Jesse Ray McDonald, 76, of Glasgow, and formerly of Monroe County, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel with burial to follow in Gamaliel Cemetery. Military rites will be performed at graveside by DAV Chapter 20 of Glasgow. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
