GLASGOW — Edward Lee Clark

CENTER – Edward Lee Clark, 79, of Center, died Tuesday July 31, 2012, at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.

He was the son of the late Ralph and Allyne Pierce Clark. Mr. Clark was a member of the Center United Methodist Church, retired bookkeeper for Bale Tobacco Warehouse, farmer and avid outdoorsmen.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley Trent Clark, of Center; one son, Rick (Billie Mae) Clark of Indiana; two daughters, Karen (William Eugene) Nunn, of Glasgow, and Laurie (Lynn) Finn, of Center. Seven grandchildren survive: J.W. Martin, J.P. Martin, Elizabeth Sypole, Meagan Peek, William Stuart Nunn, Seth Nunn and Daniel Finn. Two great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Center United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Friday from 4 until 8 p.m. at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton and Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of services at the church.

Mr. Clark chose to be cremated and interment at Asbury/Center Cemetery will take place at a later date. Alternate expressions of sympathy may include donations to Center United Methodist Church Memorial Fund c/o Marsha Jeffries, 308 Skyline Drive, Edmonton, Ky, 42129, or the Metcalfe County Public Library.

 

Herbert Cecil Priddy


UPTON – Herbert Cecil Priddy, 79, of Upton, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at North Hardin Health and Rehab in Radcliff.

He was born in Hardin County to the late Arthur Priddy and Ruby Priddy Chesser.

He is survived by his wife, Nina Priddy.

Funeral services for Herbert Priddy will be 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home. Burial will be in Upton Cemetery. Visitation will continue after 8 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.



Mildred Mae Wells

SUMMER SHADE – Mildred Mae Wells, 93, of Summer Shade, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at her home.

She was a daughter of the late James Tollie Hagan and Mary Jane (Harlan) Hagan Jobe, and was a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by three daughters, Nancy (Ronnie) Underwood, of Summer Shade, Betty Alice (Leo) Colin, of Martinsville, Ind., and Sandy (Marshall) Underwood, of Mobile, Ala.; two sisters, Geraldine Jobe Moorer of Bald Knob, Ark., and Trudy Page Bunnell, of Panama City, Fla.; grandchildren, Penny Schafer, Lisa Carter, Ronnie Underwood Jr., Michael Wells Underwood, Antoinette Lorenzen, Lezlie Owsley and Heather Gardner.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Wells; a daughter, Lorna Lou Wells; and an infant brother.

Funeral services will be Friday, Aug. 3, at 11 a.m. at McMurtrey Funeral Home, with Marshall Underwood officiating. Burial will be in Gee Harvey Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 2, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Gee Harvey Cemetery, in care of McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade, Road, Summer Shade, Ky. 42166.
