Ruth Aspley
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – Ruth Aspley, 90, passed away Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, at Durham-Hensley Nursing Home in Greeneville, Tenn.
Mrs. Aspley was born in Monroe County, Ky., and had resided in Ormond Beach, Fla., since 1970 having moved to Greeneville, Tenn., in 2011. She was a member of Tomoka Christian Church in Ormond Beach, Fla.
Mrs. Aspley and her husband Joe retired in 1970 as owners and operators of the Starlite Drive-In Theater in Princeton, Ind. Mrs. Aspley was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Joe W. Aspley Sr.; her parents Ora and Lena Gerald; a son, Dr. Joe W. Aspley Jr.; and a daughter, Susan Aspley Krieger.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Donald B. Aspley and wife Brenda; a daughter-in-law, Jean Aspley; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several special cousins.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Aug. 10, from 1 until 2 p.m. at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.

Floyd Raymond Branham
EDMONTON – Floyd Raymond Branham, 85, of Edmonton, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.
He was the son of the late Francis and Bertie McIntyre Branham. He was retired from the Edmonton Toll Plaza, member of Cedar Flat Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and former member of the Edmonton Quartet.
He is survived by his wife Betty Shaw Branham; two daughters, Judy, and husband Darrell Brown, of Edmonton, June, and husband Steve Bennett, of Columbia; one brother, Al Branham, of Glasgow; three grandchildren, Casey (Josh) Harlow, of Glasgow, Jacob (Amanda) Brown, of Edmonton and Carrie (Jason) Roundtree, of Horse Cave; and one great-grandchild, Autumn Grace Harlow.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters, Henry, Otha Ray, and Eldon Branham, Beulah Coffey, Ruby Lair, Ina Grace Hurt and Clarice Boone.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton, with burial in Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3 until 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Jimmy R. Elmore
LUCAS – Jimmy R. Elmore, 64, of Lucas, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.
