GLASGOW — Will Cheatham, 85, of Glasgow, died Thursday, July 5, 2012.
He was the son of the late Horace Cheatham and Easter Mae Collins Cheatham. He was a veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by one son, Jerry Cheatham (Cheryl); one daughter, Patricia Chapman (Jim); eleven grandchildren, Robert Jackson, Brandie Uehlin, Jesse Chapman, Michael Chapman, Jeremy Cheatham, Michael Cheatham, Luke Cheatham, Dewy Cheatham, Betty Lou Cheatham, Michael Herzog and Heather Herzog; six sisters, Louise Tarey, Evelyn Marcum, Bertha Williams, Linda Byrd, Mary Matthews and Joann McCoy; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two children, George Samuel Cheatham and Geraldine Cheatham; two brothers, John Sam Cheatham and James Howard Cheatham.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 8, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial in New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Margaret Elmore Eatmon
GLASGOW —Margaret Elmore Eatmon, 80, of Glasgow, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012, in the presence of family members after a very brave battle with cancer.
Mrs. Eatmon professed her faith in Christ at an early age and attended Bethel Independent Baptist Church. After years of service at T. J. Samson Community Hospital and local nursing homes, she was a private caregiver for many years. Mrs. Eatmon was a devoted mother, grandmother, and best friend. With her warm smile and twinkling blue eyes, she lovingly displayed her southern-style cooking talents with her homemade biscuits and famous fried apple pies.
Mrs. Eatmon is survived by two sons, Danny Eugene Vaughn (Lela) and Billy Howard Vaughn (Kim); two daughters, Regina Joyce Vaughn and Connie Sue Berryman. She is also survived by three sisters, Maureen Elmore Chapman, Dorothy Elmore Jones and Beatrice Elmore Williams; seven grandchildren, Julie Mosher (Jeff), Danny Vaughn Jr., Matthew Vaughn, Corey, Michael, Zack and Heather Folden; three great-grandchildren, Hannah and Josh Mosher, and Autumn Vaughn; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ida Waller Elmore, her husband, Earl Eatmon; one son, Thomas Allen Vaughn; one brother, Edward Elmore; and two sisters, Ruth Elmore Hale and Gladys Elmore Kerney.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 7, at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 12 p.m. Friday, July 6, at the funeral home.

Claudia Evanchuk Kafer
EDMONTON — Claudia Evanchuk Kafer, 70, of Edmonton, died Sunday, July 1, 2012, in Georgia.
She was the daughter of the late John and Stephanie Bartosh Evanchuk.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Peter Kafer, of Edmonton; and one son, Matthew Kafer, of Pennsylvania. Mrs. Kafer had lived in Metcalfe county with her husband since 1981. Lately she spent the winters in the Bahamas on their sailboat. She will be remembered by all her friends as someone who sought to make everyone she encountered smile.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 7, at the family farm on the Subtle Garrett Creek Road in Edmonton. Butler Funeral Home, Edmonton, is in charge of the arrangements.
Stephen Miles Starr
GLASGOW — Stephen Miles Starr, 60, Glasgow, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital.
The son of the late Miles Leland and Carolyn Adwell Starr, he was a farmer and a former employee of SKF Industries. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church and the H. B. Grant Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Ann; two sons, Bryan Starr and his wife Cathy, and Timothy Starr and his fiancée Ashley Waters, all of Glasgow; two grandsons, Blake Starr and Andrew Starr; one sister, Christi Jones and her husband John, of Glasgow; one brother-in-law, Larry McGuire and his wife Charlotte, of Glasgow; two aunts and several cousins.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The public is invited to Masonic Services at 7 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.

Wesley V. Wright
BRANDENBURG — Wesley V. Wright, 83, of Brandenburg, formerly of Hart County, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at Medco Center of Brandenburg in Brandenburg.
He was the son of the late John Wright and the late Laura Wells Wright.
Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 50 Main Street, Munfordville, Ky. where the family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, July 7, 2012. Funeral services will be at Brooks Funeral Home, 11 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012, with Brother Dewayne Forbis officiating. Interment will be at Timberlake Cemetery, Munfordville.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Brooks Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
