Chelsea LaShae Anders
EDMONTON – Chelsea LaShae Anders, 17, of Edmonton, died Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was a junior at Metcalfe County High School and member of Penicks Chapel United Baptist Church.
She is survived by her mother, Barbara Kirby, and companion Bobby Salmon, of Edmonton; two sisters, Samantha Bex and Anissa Kirby, both of Edmonton; three brothers, Levi Kirby, Billy and Tyler Salmon, all of Edmonton; her maternal grandparents, Don and Cathie Levi, of Edmonton; and eight aunts, five uncles, several cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton, with burial on the family farm. Visitation will be from 3 until 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
John William Bailey Jr.
ELIZABETHTOWN – John William Bailey Jr., 92, formerly of Glasgow, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at Helmwood Healthcare in Elizabethtown.
A native of Barren County, he was a son of the late John William Bailey Sr. and Francis Stevenson Bailey. He was a retired construction worker and a former janitor at the Barren County Courthouse and New Farmers National Bank. He was a member of First Baptist Church, of Glasgow, where he was also a member of the choir.
Survivors include three children, Shirley Clay, of Louisville, James Bailey, of New Haven, and Larry Shannon (Mary), of Glasgow; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with burial in Barlow Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home.

Geneva Mae Ferriss Breeding
ELIZABETHTOWN – Geneva Mae Ferriss Breeding, 79, of Elizabethtown, formerly of Bonnieville, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at Kensington Manor in Elizabethtown.
She was the daughter of the late Marvin Ferriss and the late Hazel Wheeler Ferriss.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at Brooks Funeral Home in Munfordville.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Brother Kevin Roberts and Brother Glenn Routt officiating. Interment will be at Bonnieville Memory Park, Bonnieville.
Ms. Oval Marie Carmack
CELINA, Tenn. – Ms. Oval Marie Carmack, 98, of Celina, passed away Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, Tenn.
Ms. Oval Marie Carmack was born March 31, 1914, in Jackson County, Tenn., to the late Henry Whitker and Madgie (Pharris) Whitker Stafford. She was married to the late Stone Carmack who preceded her in death April 23, 1992. Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sons, Glen and Ray Carmack; daughter-in-law, Faye Carmack; son-in-law, Leslie Upton; three grandchildren, Terry, Steve and Sherry Carmack. She was a homemaker and was a member of Church of God in Celina, Tenn.
She is survived by sons, Robert P. (Joan) Carmack, of Franklin, Ind., Harold (Judy) Carmack, of Glasgow; one daughter, Jane Upton of Celina, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, James R. Carmack, Bill Eric Carmack, John Carmack, Jo Ellen Ford, Connie Sharp, Amy Carmack, Trudy Carmack Green and Glenn Johnson; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at Upton Funeral Home, Celina, Tenn., with Brothers Jason Smith and Eddie White officiating. Burial will be in Turkeytown Cemetery.
Martha Wells Depp
GLASGOW – Martha Wells Depp, 78, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.
She was born in Barren County, a daughter of the late Hurshel and Ollie Wilkinson Wells. Her husband, Ralph C. Depp preceded her in death July 27, 2011. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Sheila Depp, of Louisville, and Lisa Bulhoes (Joe), of Bowling Green; four grandsons, Brandenburg Carner, of Louisville, Corey Ritter, of Lexington, Josh Simon and Jordan Simon, of Bowling Green; one great-grandchild, Keegan Simon, of Bowling Green; two sisters, Louise Miller, of Crestwood, and Bonnie Poore (Jimmy), of Glasgow; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, B.G., Glatys, Richard, Jerry and Tommy Wells.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at A.F. Crow and Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Friday.

GLASGOW – Dorothy Huddleston, 83, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.

Glenn Ray Young
KOKOMO, Ind. – Glenn Ray Young, 49, of Kokomo, died Monday Aug. 27, 2012, at his home in Kokomo.
He was born June 2, 1963, in Kokomo to Dalton Ray Young and Nina (Jessie) Young.
He is survived by his mother, Nina Young. He was preceded in death by his father, Dalton Ray Young.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Murray Weaver Funeral Home, 401 South California St., Galveston, Ind., with Rev. Doyle Buckner officiating. Burial will follow at Galveston Cemetery in Galveston. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
