Patricia Basham
BOWLING GREEN — Patricia “Grace” Tallman Basham, 72, of Bowling Green, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
A native of Maysville, NC, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Gladys Sammons Tallman. She was a graduate of White Oak High School in Maysville and was a retired medical transcriptionist at T. J. Samson Community Hospital and The Medical Center at Bowling Green. She was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church and had been attending Madison Avenue Baptist Church in Bowling Green.
Survivors include her husband, James Richard Basham; one son, Carl “Dean” Basham, of Smiths Grove; two daughters, Deborah London (Jerry), of Hiseville, and Patty Spiekhout (Jason), of Bowling Green; two brothers, Thomas Tharrington (Eula) and James Tharrington (Jo Ann), all of Maysville, NC; one sister, Velda Bynum (Fred), of Maysville; three sisters-in-law, Marie Guthrie (Earl), Betty Cook and Darlene Frey; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Cyrus “Bennie” Tallman and Edna “Gladys” Sammons Tallman Tharrington; her step-father, Pugh Tharrington; and her daughter-in-law, Stacey Basham.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the T. J. Samson Kidney Care Center to assist patients with their medications. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.

Sue Bushong
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Sue (McCullough) Bushong, age 90, of Nashville, Tenn., formerly of Tompkinsville, died Monday, June 25, 2012 at her home.
She was the wife of the late Dr. William R. Bushong.
A native of Erlanger, she served with the Army Nurse Corps during World War II and, prior to her retirement, was director of nursing for 12 years at what is now Monroe Health & Rehab in Tompkinsville.
She is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, William R. Jr. “Bill” and Becky Bushong, of Lexington, Paul Bushong, of Florida; John R. and Cheryl Bushong, of Madisonville, and Robert H. “Bob” and Becky Bushong, of Glasgow, and a daughter with whom she lived, Susan Bushong, of Nashville. There are five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family chose cremation, at her request.
A tribute to her life will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, at the Family Wellness Center in Tompkinsville.

William Robinson
GLASGOW — William Arthur Robinson, 75, of Glasgow, passed away peacefully Monday, June 25, 2012, at his residence.
A native of Pontiac, Mich., he was a son of the late Merrill and Elma Crowden Robinson. He was a lawn care provider, a member of the Barren County Good Food Buying Club, a member of Inliners International, and a United States Navy veteran during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his three sons, Bill Robinson and wife Alicia, of Pinellas Park, FL, Jamie Robinson and wife Scarlett, of Largo, FL, and Jay Robinson of Champaigne, IL; his companion, Sue Green; and six grandchildren.
The family chose cremation. A memorial service will be planned later in Florida. Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Daniel Spitale
LEXINGTON — Daniel Lee Spitale, 63, Lexington, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at VA Medical Center in Lexington.
A native of Chicago, he was a son of the late Samuel and Leola G. Bryant Spitale. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
