Frances Loraine (Harlow) Bartley

LOUISVILLE — Frances Loraine (Harlow) Bartley, 79, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010.

She was retired from Kentucky Paper Box.

She was preceded in death by husband, Travis Bartley; son, Timothy Bartley; parents, Paul and Pauline Harlow; brother, Clyde Harlow; and sister, Elnor Shaw.

Survivors include a daughter: Sheila Biscan; granddaughter: Angela Lewis; brothers: Bobby, Donnie and Joe Harlow; sisters: Jeannine Shaw, Margaret Lee, and Patricia Fant.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, Louisville, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Friday.

Memorial gifts may be made to Home of the Innocents.



Wanda R. Eaton

LOUISVILLE — Wanda R. Eaton, 76, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at Jewish Hospital – Shelbyville.

She was a retired secretary for the Kentucky Baptist Convention, a member of Melbourne Heights Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Lillie Richey; and a brother, Maurice Richey.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Bobby D. Eaton; daughters: Belinda Coulter (Steve), Beverly Smith (John) and Eva Bentley (Jeff); a brother: Harvey F. Richey; grandchildren: Robert Marvin, Jason Glass, James Coulter, Jared, Erin and Jordan Bentley; and four great-grandchildren.

Her Celebration of Life Service will be on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2 until 8 p.m. on Friday.

Memorial contributions may be made to: Melbourne Heights Baptist Church.

GLASGOW — Robert E. “Bobby” Biggers Jr., 77, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Glenview Christian Church. Burial, with military honors provided by DAV Chapter 20, will be in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home and continue Friday at the funeral home until 10 a.m. At this time he will be moved to the Glenview Christian Church for visitation from 11 a.m. until time for the service.

Alternate expressions of sympathy can be made in the form of memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association, Kaden Tower, 6100 Dutchmans Lane, Suite 401, Louisville, KY 40205-3284.



GLASGOW — Donald R. Catron, 69, died Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital after a sudden illness. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today (Thursday) at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.



GLASGOW — Ethel Flowers Fant, 86, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at NHC Healthcare Facility in Glasgow. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today (Thursday) at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to Community Medical Care, 120 State Ave., Glasgow, KY 42141.



KETTERING, Ohio — Jerena A. Lotts, 68, formerly of Glasgow, passed away Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, at her residence. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Henderson Cemetery at Finney. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon Saturday until service time. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to BRAWA (Barren River Animal Welfare Association) in Jerena’s memory.



LOUISVILLE — Grace Dean Madison, 99, formerly of Rocky Hill, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, in Louisville. Funeral services will be noon Friday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel, with burial in Rocky Hill Cemetery. Visitation continues until 8 p.m. today (Thursday), and from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, at the funeral home.



LEXINGTON — Ruby Nell Fancher Smith, 87, died Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, at Northpoint Lexington Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today (Thursday) in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home, Horse Cave, with burial in Houk Cemetery in Metcalfe County.
