GLASGOW — Bedford ‘Beck’ Brown

TOMPKINSVILLE — Bedford “Beck” Brown, 77, died Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.

He was the son of the late Willie Brown and Flora Monday Brown.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 3, at Yokley-Trible Funeral Home, Tompkinsville, with burial in Center Point Cemetery. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.



Jonathan Scott ‘Jon’ Cox

LOUISVILLE — Jonathan Scott “Jon” Cox, 36, of Louisville, formerly of Glasgow, died Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at his home in Louisville after a sudden illness.  

He was born in Glasgow, the son of Don and Louise Carter Cox, of Glasgow, who survive. Jon was an employee of Ford Motor Company in Louisville.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by three children: Norah Grace Cox, Ella Shea Cox and Carter Allen Cox, all of Shepherdsville; a brother: Mike Cox and wife Glenda of Glasgow; a sister: Lisa Stengel and husband Jay of Louisville; two nieces: Vicky Stengel of Louisville and Juli Stewart Humphrey of Glasgow; a nephew: Joey Stengel of Louisville; a great-nephew: Mark Humphrey; a great-niece: Teryane Humphrey; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Willie and Inez Cox, and paternal grandparents, Claude and Norine Carter.

 Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 4, 2010, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.
