W. Floyd Chapman
GLASGOW — W. Floyd Chapman, 74, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.
The Barren County native was the son of the late Clemmie Luther Chapman and Sarah Emma Jones Chapman. Mr. Chapman was a retired farmer and former employee of SKF. He was a member of Brotherhood Freewill Baptist Church and a member of the 623rd Field Artillery KY National Guard in Glasgow. He was a true servant of God and loved his family and church unconditionally.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Emma Jean Finn Chapman; three children: Pamela (Rodney) Pace of Arlington, Texas, Sheila (Larry) Smith of Glasgow, and Scott (Mechele) Chapman of Runaway Bay, Texas; seven grandchildren: Dewayne (Melissa) Pace, Matthew Pace, Krista (Cliff) Shank, Demetria Chapman, Daylin Chapman and Colby Chapman, all of Texas, and Allison Grace Smith of Glasgow; three great-grandchildren: Colten, Caleb and Catherine Pace of Hurst, Texas; a brother: Leo Chapman of Glasgow; and a sister, Velma Mosby of Glasgow.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Chapman, and a sister, Virginia Thomas.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Brotherhood Freewill Baptist Church Building Fund.

Cleo Davidson King
HORSE CAVE — Cleo Davidson King, 86, passed away Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, at the Medical Center of Bowling Green.
She was the daughter of the late James A. Davidson and Annice Martin Davidson. She also was preceded in death by a grandson, Clayton Sloan.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother and a member of the Fairview Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband: Charles D. King of Horse Cave; a son: Douglas King and (Diana) of Horse Cave; three daughters: Dorothy VanBrussel of Louisville, Charla Sprouse and (Tom) of Smiths Grove, and Bonita King and (David Vorris) of Louisville; six grandchildren: Buddy King, Nedra King Jurcak, Travis King, Jennifer Sprouse Oberhausen and Denise Gordon; seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009, in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home, Horse Cave, with burial in Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 until 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Dakota Lyn Haynes
GLASGOW — Dakota Lyn Haynes, 3-month-old son of Melissa A. Haynes died Friday, Aug. 21, 2009, in Glasgow.
Graveside services were 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, at Independence (Slate Bank) Cemetery. Patton Funeral Home, Brownsville Chapel, was in charge of arrangements.
Other survivors include maternal grandparents: Tommy and Patricia Haynes of Glasgow; maternal great-grandmother: Virgie Salings of Bowling Green; uncle: Stanley Haynes (Tiffany) of Glasgow; aunt: Danyale Haynes of Glasgow; special aunt: Stacey Williams of Rochelle, Ill.; and several cousins.

Dr. Carl C. Rexroat
NEW JERSEY — Dr. Carl C. Rexroat, former resident of Horse Cave, passed away Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J. He was a native of Russell Springs.
Dr. Rexroat was a member since 1950 of the Kentucky Association of Chiropractors, a Kentucky Colonel, the Gideons International and the Rio Verde Chapter No. 698 Masonic Lodge and the Rio Verde Eastern Star Chapter No. 31. He was a quarter Cherokee Indian.
He was a graduate of Texas Chiropractor College, attended Campbellsvile University and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was also a member and deacon of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church at Uno.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Rexroat and Laura Bradshaw Rexroat; a daughter, LaDonna Jean Rexroat; and by his wife, Frances Rexroat on March 18, 2009.
Survivors include his daughter: Sunshine Klein and her husband, Allen, of Monroe Township, N.J.; two granddaughters: Laura DeFazio and her husband, Anthony of Vineland, N.J., and Anna Klein of Monroe Township, N.J.; two great-granddaughters: Katelyn DeFazio and Nicole DeFazio.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home, Horse Cave, with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens with military rites conducted by the Marion County D.A.V. Masonic Rites will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, and after 8 a.m. Friday.

BOWLING GREEN – Olivia Skipworth Burnette, 85, of Bowling Green, died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, at a local nursing home. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel, with burial in Smiths Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today (Tuesday) and from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
GLASGOW – Robert Sherrell Richey, 58, of Glasgow, died Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. today (Tuesday) at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Poplar Log Cemetery with military honors provided by DAV Chapter #20 of Glasgow.
