GLASGOW — Judith Phelps Ashley
LEXINGTON — Judith Phelps Ashley, also known as Judith Phelps Crockett, of Lexington and Versailles, the only child of the late Laura Stone Phelps, died March 3, 2010, after an extensive illness. She was 61.
She became a stock broker after attending UK and later became a real estate investor. At the time of her death, she was owner of Judy Ashley Farm, a thoroughbred breeding operation in Versailles. Judy loved all animals, small and large, and spent a lifetime saving those at risk.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Ashley; a daughter: Amanda Crockett; a son: David Crockett (Marlene); two grandchildren: Rocco and Jagger Crockett; her father: James W. Crow Sr. of Glasgow; siblings, Jim Crow, Greg Crow, Diane McGuire and Connie Vaughn.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2010, at Milward Funeral Home, Broadway, in Lexington, with burial in Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m. until time for the service.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Lexington Humane Society.

CAVE CITY — Carole J. Avina, 70, died Saturday, March 6, 2010, at the Medical Center of Bowling Green.

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. — Joyce L. Bottorff, 77, died Thursday, March 4, 2010, at St. Clare Emergency Room.
The Glasgow native was the daughter of James D. and Dallie McGuire. Survivors include her husband, Billy Joe Bottorff.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 8, at Hunt & Son Funeral Home, Crawfordsville, Ind., with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery North. Visitation is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Lena Lovell
GLASGOW — Lena Lovell, 86, died Friday, March 05, 2010, at the Barren County Health Care Center. A native of Barren County, she was a daughter of the late Edward Lee and Alene Houchens. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Meek of Glasgow and Carolyn Gaddie of Louisville; four sons, Billy Joe Lovell, Rickey Lovell, Sr., Johnny Lovell and Charles Lovell and his wife, Angie, all of Glasgow; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Allen Lovell; one son, Homer Allen Lovell, Jr.; twin daughters, Earlene and Geraldine Lovell; and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Linda Lea Marshall
HOPKINSVILLE — Linda Lea Marshall, 61, died Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.
She was the daughter of the late Austin Skaggs and Juanita Marshall.
Survivors include her husband, Fred Marshall of Hopkinsville; a son: Todd E. Marshall of Henderson; and a daughter: Erin L. Wolf of Glasgow.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 8, at Lamb Funeral Home, Hopkinsville, with burial in Peaceful Meadows Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, March 7, at the funeral home.

BOWLING GREEN — Natasha Lyn Nichols, 27, of Bowling Green, died Thursday, March 4, 2010, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
She was the daughter of Doug Nichols and Juanita Cline Nichols, of Bowling Green, who survive.

Joe Willie Williams
SCOTTSVILLE — Joe Willie Williams, 69, of Scottsville, died Thursday, March 4, 2010, at the Cal Turner Extended Care Pavilion in Scottsville.
The Monroe County native was the son of the late John and Lizzie Sisco Williams.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Sunday, March 7, at Hughes Funeral Chapel in Fountain Run. Interment will follow in Fountain Run Cemetery.
