Larry Cecil Gentry
GLASGOW – Larry Cecil Gentry, 71, of Glasgow, passed away at 9:30 a.m. Monday Sept.17, 2012, at his residence.
He was a former resident of Horse Cave, a 1959 graduate of Caverna High School, a long-time member of Zion Baptist Church at Rex, Ky., and was an avid U.K. basketball fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman Merrill Gentry and Mayola Short Gentry.
He is survived by several cousins; an uncle, Elmer Dean Short and his wife Viola, of Horse Cave; and by an aunt, Cleota Gentry, of Hardyville.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home in Horse Cave with burial to follow in Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Thursday.
