ETOILE – Alfred Ervin Carver, 77, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital.

Thomas Kevin Dotts
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Thomas Kevin Dotts, 45, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2006, in Murfreesboro. He was the son of Ray Henry and Luda Nell (Strode) Dotts of Gamaliel. He is survived by his wife, Lesa Faye (Walker) Dotts.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Strode Funeral Home, Gamaliel Chapel, with burial in the Gamaliel Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Marie Thomas Palmore
GLASGOW – Wrapped in the arms of the angels, Marie Thomas Palmore, of Glasgow, departed her earthly home to spend eternity with her sweet Jesus on Dec. 4, 2006, at the age of 96. Marie was born on Aug. 31, 1910, in Indianapolis, Ind., the first born of nine childen, to the late William and Mellissa Carver Borders.
Marie was also preceded in death by her first husband and love of her life, Georgie Ruel Thomas; her firstborn, Geneva Louis Thomas; son, Billie Thomas; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Jodie Pace, Georgia and Lewis McGonigle Sr.; son-in-law, Jewel Stone; grandsons, Lewis McGonigle Jr. and Richard Pace; great-great-granddaughter, Jodi Pace; sisters, Juanita McDonald, Edith Kinslow, Helen Adams and Lydia Wheeler; brothers, Carlton and James Borders; second husband, Ed Palmore; step son, Haskel Palmore; and step son-in-law, Leon McGuire.
Mrs. Palmore was a former cook for the Uptowner Motel and the Glasgow Holiday Inn and was a member of the Pleasant Point Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons: James (Rebecca) Thomas, Terry (Linda) Thomas and Dickie Thomas, all of Glasgow; three daughters: Edna Stone, Ann (Paul) Pace, both of Glasgow, and Bettye Carole (Doug) Goode of Sevierville, Tn.; step daughter: Jenene McGuire; a daughter-in-law: Debbie Thomas of Glasgow; a sister: Virginia Vaughn of Oklahoma; a brother: Mitchell Borders of Glasgow; 26 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with Brother Ray Woodie and Brother Danny Pace officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Caney Fork Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12 noon today.
The family wishes to take this opportunity to thank everyone who said a prayer, visited or called to check on Marie, and to express their special thanks to the staff at T.J. Samson Community Hospital who provided such tender care for Marie and especially to the doctor whom she loved so very much, Dr. William “Chuck” Thornbury.

Robert G. Scearce II
TOMPKINSVILLE – Robert G. Scearce II, 23, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2006, in Barren County. He was the son of Robert G. and Patricia (Riveres) Scearce and is survived by his wife, Tasha Walker Scearce.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 5 p.m. at Strode Funeral Home, Tompkinsville Chapel. Cremation has been chosen. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
