James Lawrence Broady

GLASGOW — James Lawrence Broady, 85, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, at the Barren County Health Care Facility in Glasgow.

He is survived by a son, Gary Broady and wife Gail of Franklin, Ky., and a granddaughter, Lee Elizabeth Broady.

He was preceded in death by his wife Addie Lee Wilkinson Broady.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete, but are under the direction of the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.

Virgil Eugene Harlow

EDMONTON — Virgil Eugene Harlow, 78, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, at his home in Edmonton. He was the son of the late Ross E. and Ora May Brownfield Harlow.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Saturday and after 9 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Eugene was the owner and manager of Harlow Furniture and co-owner and manager of Harlow Hardware, both in Edmonton. He retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation also. Eugene was a member and served as deacon of the Edmonton Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Fant Harlow; one daughter, LaNelle (Barton) Cawthorn of Edmonton; one son, Bobby (Becky) Harlow of Edmonton; four grandchildren, Daniel Cawthorn, Amanda Cawthorn (Scott) Bragg, Cayce (Tag Taylor) Harlow and Joshua (Casey) Harlow; one stepgrandson, Kyle (Lora) Harlow; four great-grandchildren, Hayley Bragg, Shelby Bragg, Autumn Harlow and Hannah Bragg; one sister, Pat Harlow (Leonard) Kingrey; four brothers, Frank (Katherine) Harlow, Mike (Marianna) Harlow, Bill (Donna) Harlow and Dean (Carol) Harlow.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Marie Harlow Houchens.



Flora Hazel Lyons

TOMPKINSVILLE — Flora Hazel Lyons, 70, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, at St. Francis Hospital & Health Centers in Beech Grove, Ind. She was a daughter of the late Chester Gaines and Thena (Minton) Gaines. Survivors include her husband, Douglas R. Lyons of Tompkinsville.

Funeral services will be Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, at 1 p.m. at the Strode Funeral Home, Tompkinsville, with burial in Old Mt. Herman Cemetery, Tompkinsville. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. today at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville, Ind., and on Monday, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.



SERVICES

LOUISVILLE — Billy G. Lile, 60, passed away Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, at Saint Mary and Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home, Horse Cave, with burial in the Whickerville Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by DAV Chapter 20 of Glasgow at the cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:30 until 9 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

EDMONTON — Theodore Russell Martin Jr., 78, formerly of South Haven, Mich., died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton.

GLASGOW — Leslie Gene Meadows, 65, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007, at the Taylor County Regional Hospital in Campbellsville. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Gods House at Knob Lick with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Saturday at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.

MUNFORDVILLE — Zuleima Thompson, 85, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007, at her residence. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, with interment in the Cub Run Cemetery. Visitation is in progress until 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
