Thomas Blakley

BURKESVILLE - Thomas Blakley, 64, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, at the Cumberland County Hospital after an illness.

Memorial services will be Friday, Nov. 21, at noon at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home in Burkesville. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until funeral time Friday at the funeral home.



Glenn Allen Garmon

CENTER - Glenn Allen Garmon, 47, of Center died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.

He was the son of the late Herbert and Ruby Byrd Garmon. He was a farmer and of the Baptist faith.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in Locust Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

He is survived by one son: Chris Glenn Garmon and companion Novella Redd of Center; two daughters: Becky K. Garmon and companion Terry Riley of Horse Cave and Stephanie Garmon and companion Dewayne Fields of Center; his finance`, Verna Murphy of Center; three brothers: Arvest and Doug Garmon, both of Knob Lick, and Junior Garmon of Sulphur Well; two sisters: Helen Brown of Knob Lick and Marie Garmon of Glasgow; five grandchildren: Walker Glenn Riley and Steven Chase Riley, both of Horse Cave, Alexis Fields, Skylar Fields and Briana Redd, all of Center; and two stepchildren: Chasity Murphy of Center and Justin Murphy of Liberty.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Rondall Garmon and Kenny Bowles; and three sisters, Mary Coomer, Bonnie Haire and Anabell Coomer.



Mary Nell Medley

GLASGOW - Mary Nell Medley, 67, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.

She was born in Barren County, the daughter of the late Lennie and Beulah Hood Crabtree.ÊMrs. MedleyÊwas a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and was a former employee of Sorensen Mfg. and RR Donnelley & Sons.

She is survived by her husband, Dalton; a daughter: Tammy Niehaus (John) of Bowling Green; a grandson: Dale Oliver (April) of Bowling Green; a great-grandson: Zackary Dale Oliver; four sisters: Clarine Anthony of Tampa, Fla., Evelyn Meadow of Hoopston, Ill., Alyne Sewell and Pat Martin of Glasgow; two brothers: Everett Crabtree of Cropsey, Ill., and Mitchell Crabtree of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Dennis Key.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Clorine Gerald; two brothers, Earl and William Lennie Crabtree; two half brothers, Ewell and Bill Crabtree; and a half sister, Irene Youngblood.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Friday.

Norman Dale Moore

TOMPKINSVILLE - Norman Dale Moore died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville.

He was the son of the late Johnny Denton Moore and Hilas Lelo White Moore. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Key Moore.

Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 21, at 1 p.m. at Yokley-Trible Funeral Home, Tompkinsville, with burial in Rocky Hill Cemetery. Visitation is in progress at the funeral home.

ROCKY HILL - Richard F. Emerson, 65, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at his residence. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Patton Funeral Home, Park City Chapel, with burial in Kinser Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. LOUISVILLE - Concella Green, 77, formerly of Glasgow, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Green Family Cemetery in Glasgow. Visitation is in progress at theÊfuneral home.



HIRAM, Ga. - Sharon Darlene Jones Holsclaw, 62, formerly of Glasgow, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008,Êat Lovely Personal Care Home in ÊMarietta, Ga. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Poplar Log Cemetery.



RUSSELLVILLE - Steven Earl Reed, 51, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at The Medical Center in Bowling Green. A memorial service will be today at 2 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church. Visitation will be Thursday from noon until the service hour at the church. Young Funeral Home, Russellville Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.



TOMPKINSVILLE - Delma Ree Sheffield, 72, passed away Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial in Poplar Log Bowman Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the Poplar Log Bowman Cemetery.
